The Dark Knight is the oldest class in the game. Mysterious men of war whose eyes glow under their helmets, Dark Knights are the most frequently used class in the game. As the original Sherwood avatar, the Dark Knight was interpreted by players in many ways - Dark Knight, Paladin, Roman Soldier, Gladiator or Barbarian. They have customisable tunics (team colors), helmets, armors (black and bronze), and of course skin tones.
Dark Knights are also available for purchase as allies.

- The Dark Knight is the playable counterpart of similar enemy mobs such as the Darkblood Knight or the Darkblood Raider.
- The Dark Knight model has gone through several changes. An older version can be seen in Sherwood Classic.
